The Performance

The Echoes of Willard is a newly devised theatre
performance based on suitcases discovered in an
attic of a deserted building at Willard just outside
  of New York.

Over 400 were found, each containing the possessions,
photos and letters of patients of a recently shut down
  psychiatric hospital: WILLARD PSYCHIATRIC CENTER.

This performance takes 5 of those suitcases and their
contents and uses live performance to bring the
patients alive again by sharing a personal interpretation
of their lives leading to being institutionalised and their
lives at Willard for an audience that never got the chance
to meet them.
The theatrical form of the piece is physical theatre/storytelling
